Attic Renovation: From Unfinished Space to
In-Law Suite
When Silver Maple first entered this attic space, it was via a sketchy staircase, accessed through a tiny door 2 feet off the ground in the corner of one of the lower bedrooms. Vision, trust in our team, and a commitment to creating a welcoming home for family and guests motivated these homeowners to take the leap with this attic conversion.
Today, ascending a code-compliant staircase leads visitors into a bright and welcoming, meticulously designed attic renovation that invites play, relaxation, quiet contemplation, and rest. Abundant skylights bring in the sweeping views and add to the feeling of being among the treetops. Two guest rooms with en-suite bathrooms and two distinct office spaces complement the open entertainment space that invites gathering, chatter, and laughter.
A Thoughtful Attic Conversion with Custom Woodwork
This attic conversion transformed the home’s upper level into a versatile space, featuring custom pieces by The Woodworks, including two desks with detailed accents that echo the craftsmanship seen in other areas of the house.
The pitched ceilings with paired skylights pour natural light into the open living area, illuminating a custom-built media console. Cleverly integrated into the console is a hidden drawer fridge/freezer, perfect for casual refreshments. Hallway closets feature hidden doors that blend seamlessly with the wooden wall panels, a subtle yet refined touch.
Soft light blue tones complement the finely crafted woodwork, elevating the space, making this attic conversion a true demonstration of Silver Maple’s attention to detail, sophisticated design, and commitment to creating flexible, high-end living areas for families and guests alike.
