Designed by Viscaya Wagner Design Studio, built by Silver Maple, and finished with units from The Woodworks, the above garage apartment is a work of art itself. Transforming a dated country carriage house into a hybrid gallery home that showcases the client’s collection required skill, planning, and communication. Carefully selected materials, custom cabinetry, and curves create the backdrop for living in and with art.

As the designer described, “Black paneling was added to soften the overwhelming complexity of the expansive ceiling geometry.” This feature influenced cabinet details, including the mesh metal door fronts, shelf material, and custom treatment for the cabinet finish throughout.
