Converting an 1871 townhouse into a modern (and eco-friendly!) family home is no simple feat. But that was the task taken on by Jennifer and Brian Marsh of Mowery Marsh Architects and Elaine Santos of Elaine Santos Design when they tackled a recent project in Hoboken, New Jersey. Working in tandem, the architects and designer managed to essentially tease a contemporary home out of a 150-year-old building, blending original details and new craftsmanship for a home that blends modern comfort with a historic twist.
